Zone hierarchy allows zones to be nested as "child zones" in order to provide flexibility across varying and changing project sites. With this update, managing access control becomes very powerful and convenient. Naturally, this impacts how access rights are applied.
In order to simplify access control for more complex zone layouts, there is a feature called "Inherit from Parent." This simply copies any access rights (global and contract exemptions) from the immediate parent zone.
