A reader's status indicates it's connectivity and ability to transmit data to the cloud seamlessly - users can subscribe to reader status alerts to receive a notification when there's a change to a reader's status.
Note: If a reader is offline, it will continue to function and store data locally - once it comes back online, any local data will automatically upload to the dashboard.
LOCATING READER STATUS
- Select Hardware from the drop-down menu at the top of the dashboard.
- Click Readers in the menu on the left.
- Reader status is located in the status column of the Hardware Directory.
- Reader status is also located in each reader profile underneath the serial number.
SUBSCRIBING TO READER ALERTS
- Select Project Settings from the drop-down menu at the top of the dashboard.
- Click Alerts in the menu on the left.
- Click the Alert Subscribers tab underneath settings.
- Click Add subscriber.
- Enter User details, including first/last name and phone number.
- Scroll down to the Reader Status alert and toggle it on (blue=on; grey=off).
- Click Save in the top right corner.
MODIFYING READER STATUS ALERT DELAY TIME
Alerts will not be sent if the reader comes back online within the set delay time - if a delay is not set, the system will default to a 30 minute delay.
- Select Project Settings from the drop-down menu at the top of the dashboard.
- Click Alerts in the menu on the left.
- Click the Alerts tab underneath settings.
- Locate the Reader Status alert and click the gear icon.
- Enter your desired alert delay time (in minutes) for both BLE and/or NFC readers.
- Click Save in the top right corner.
