General FAQ's + Pro-Tips

Can I add a new zone myself?

  • At this time, you need to contact Eyrus support or your Eyrus representative to add a new zone. Once added, you can manage from your platform.

What data fields do you recommend using?

  • We strongly suggest using: Phone number, preferred language, emergency contact and emergency contact phone number.

On the dashboard, what does "workforce recorded" include?

  • The "workforce recorded" metric in eyrus includes the number of people that have been seen throughout the site during the day across all zones.

Can the workforce opt in/out of text messages?

  • The short answer is yes. Please review our article for more information on this.

Can I reset a users password?

  • Yes, if you have the proper permissions you can reset a users password in the user management section of the system. Please review our article for more information on this.

What if I change my mind about power and wanted to explore a solar reader option instead?

  • That is not a problem at all. You may engage your Eyrus representative to discuss the details or any advance questions you may have. Once you've decided you may always place an order through our e-store. The e-store is accessible in your platform via the "Hardware" module under the "Order Hardware" tab which is alongside the left side bar.

My project is just getting started. We are currently mobilizing hardware and discussing logistics around registration. When do you suggest we ("initial user/s") add more of our team members as users to the Eyrus system?

  • Typically, we suggest only adding the initial users to the system. Meaning the one or two individuals who will be "owning" our process onsite. Perhaps, whomever is going to conduct/oversee registration of the workforce. And whomever is going to select which data fields to incorporate on your site.
  • Pro-Tip - If possible, wait until you've been collecting data for 2 weeks to add additional users. That way there is data in the system to see etc.

Does your platform require a specific web browser?

  • Our preferred browsers are google chrome and safari.

What does "On-site Now" mean?

  • The "on-site now" metric in Eyrus displays the number of people who have badged IN to the zone(s) assigned as site entrances and exits.
  • This metric adjusts automatically as more people badge IN or badge OUT, providing a real-time headcount of people on-site. It offers visibility into who is physically on-site or off-site at any given time on projects that use physical access control, such as turnstiles or NFC doors.

What is the difference between Registration Documents and Registration Files?

  • If your site requires a worker to "sign" or acknowledge a document like a site safety agreement, an NDA, or some other policy or training acknowledgement etc...you'd set that up as a "registration document."
    • You can read more about the set-up and details of "registration documents" here.
  • Eyrus provides the ability to include (optional or required) file upload during the workforce registration process. This could be to collect copies of certifications, licenses or other files required by the project's onboarding process.
    • This is set up within the "field selection" flow.
    • You can read more about the set-up and details of "registration files" here
